Text formula results do not display - Formula is UNchecked in View

Even though the Formulas checkbox is unchecked under Tools - Options - View, my worksheet will not display results for Text formulas. Any suggestions welcome!

also check the cell format ('Format - cells'). Cnage this format to
'General' and re-enter your formula
