Text in Word doc is compressing onto itself

Imagine a sentence that has every letter in the same place
all at once. The first letter of the paragraph has all the
other letters piled on top of it. It appears this way on
his screen and it prints this way.

Another analogy, if I had a type writer that didn't shift
a space after each typed letter, it would type all letters
superimposed on each other.

Anyone run into this before?

Hi Sandy,

Have you checked in "Format > Font > Character spacing" already?
If it isn't that, I'd try a different printer driver. Maybe the one you use
is damaged.
Another thing to check: Does it happen with all fonts?

Thanks. We'll look at the printer driver since the
document looks normal and prints normal from my laptop.
