Text Masking

I need a text field with a set way to display a number.
How I can have so it automatically places certain
characters in certain places? Example:

They type 12345678 but as they type 12 a '-'
automatically comes in and they keep typing w/o pressing
the '-' key. So it ends up like 12-345678 Any help on
this would be very great!
