Text message oversize

Recently my Outlook 200 client has shown strange behaviour. Most (but not
all) palin text messages I receive have numerous (100 to 300) blank liunes
added to the end of the message.

But of more concern is that a few come in as over size. For example, today I
received a plain text message of 8 lines which showed a size of 8Mb. Why is
this happening and how can I stop these thinhgs happening?

I doubt very much that this is problem on your end. Outlook will receive
exactly what the message contains. Where did you see this "8MB" value?

The 8Mb was shown in the Size column of Outlook. The message also contained
numerous blank lines after the last line of text. These blank lines appear in
all text messages I receive; if I want to reply, I have to remove them from
the quoted message I'm replying to.

I have just experimented by forwarding one text message that was 7Mb in size
to myself; in my outbox it showed as 3Kb and was the same size when I sent
and received it. I still have no idea where the bloating is happening.
