text or number fields and exporting them...

I added a text and number field to a project and entered data, numbers 1 2 or
3. When I try to export the plan to excel these fields will not export.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the update. When you entered the 1,2,3 did you enter those values
for tasks or assignments? If you were viewing the Task Usage view and added
the numbers next to the resource's name, you entered the data for the
*assignment* not the task. If you are exporting task information, the values
for the assignment fields will not appear.

Post back with some more details about where you added the values.

BINGO! Thanks a TON that worked!

When in Gantt chart view I added the new column text 1 I then added the 1 2 3
to that text column.. When that did not export I added the number 1 column.
with the same result And my export map only exports assignments not tasks or
resources. So am I adding in the wrong area? Exporting the wrong data?
