Text Placeholders in a Slide Master

Unfortunately you can't add additional placeholders. What is provided is
what you get. You can modify location/size/etc., but can't add new ones.

SORRY!

Is this changing in Office 12?
Is it possible to trick it by using the Date/time placeholder as a text one?

Not that I know of. As far as using the date/Time and/or Footer
placeholders, they are pretty much restricted to what you type in them in
the Header/Footer dialog box. So as far as using them as another regular
bulleted textbox placeholder - NO!

Sorry!
