Text show after drop

Where in the ShapeSheet (or anywhere else) can I find and change the text
displayed by the shape when dropped. In the Organisation Chart default is:
Name and Title...

I know one can change in the organization chart options but that goes for
every shape... and I want to have a different display of properties for
different shapes...

Who can help me?

thnx!

great question. I think if you examine the shapesheet for the object dropped
you will find a user field (user.prop) that looks like this "Name;Title".
This appears to be the list of custom properties that the add-in will use
for the shape (i.e. take out Title and all you get is name). You may have to
tickle the shape to get the add-in to update what you want.

If you have Visio 2007 Professional, you might be able to use Data Graphics
to show the different fields you want.

I use 2003 because I work on a computer of the university and they run this
version. So could you tell me how to do that in 2003?

add-ins are typically event driven, with the obvious inclusion of custom
menu operations that are stored in the actions section of the shapesheet.
Sometimes you have to change something in shape (possibly by refreshing a
custom property), sometimes by calling the addin wrapped in an alertresponse
set.
you tickle it to get it's attention.

I found a way around it: for the different shapes I gave different names on
different places within the properties... So the department in one shape is
the name in the other... This results in the diffrent views that I want... A
diffrent way of tickling...

Unfortunately not... because the text in the shapes is still not updated if I
change something in the master shape... Again the properties do change but
the property displayed in the shape (by choosing from fields) is not updated.
So for example the name in the custom property window is not the same as the
name displayed in the shape...
