textbox problem in MS word 2003

I have MS Word 2003. Whenever I say "Insert-textbox", a
huge box comes
up and says "Create your drawing here", and there is no
concevable
textbox around. How do I get rid of this problem?

Deja vu... In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the
"Automatically create Drawing Canvas" box | OK.
