Thank you Beth Melton - fixed Word 2003 freezing!

Beth,

I was ready to put my fist through my monitor until I
found your post. Word 2003 was constantly freezing when
trying to save, trying to print and trying to close the
application. It was infuriating. I did as you suggested:

- Open your Control Panel
- Open Regional and Language Settings
- Select the Language tab
- Click Details
- Remove Handwriting Recognition

It worked and I can't thank you enough!!!!

You're welcome - and thanks for the details on the problem you
encountered. :)

It's interesting that you found Handwriting recognition as the cause
of problems in saving, printing, and closing documents. Normally the
Handwriting Recognition bug causes the Word task to end when two or
more documents are open and you minimize a document window. But I'll
keep your details in mind for other posters in the newsgroups. :)
