Thanks JDR, Sorry STEVE

Sorry if I seemed snippy, but I have looked everywhere on
the net all weekend with a project due by morning and had
previously found the site you mentioned. Buttons, I
don't have a problem with. I have a .jpeg image converted
into a movie and I want visitors to hover over the movie
like a Hot Spot linking to a page. FP only allows me
Jbots, which is often blocked by Pop Blockers. So, I've
got to figure a "dependable" way to hyperlink the movie.

At Macromedia, its click here, click there, click here,
click here, click there, click here, type in key words
and click here, click there, click here to no avail. You
would think they would have better support.

It seemed totally ridiculous that there isn't a simple
typing in of "Hyperlink Flash Movie" into Google and not
finding an answer. So, I thought that someone using FP
may have the experience to solve my delemma.

Just the same, sorry for being so snippy.

Michelle,

We all have our moments!

Without actually seeing the movie it's hard to determine what your trying to
do, but if I understand you correctly, you want to create an image map with
hot spots, just as you would in Front Page (create multiple links within your
flash movie / jpeg).

Try this, go to your drawing tools and draw your shapes, place them in the
areas you want your links to be.

Now on the shapes you have created, turn the alpha to 0%, this will now
create a transparent image. Place the shapes where you want the hyperlinks
to go and then set your action scripts, to get url.

This will allow you to create an image map with various links, with 1 image
in a Flash Movie.

there's a good pop-up script on www.sitepoint.com that works almost all the
time (in my experience), and if it fails just fires up the page that's the
target in a new window.

HTH

btw, I think the article on sitepoint is called "perfect pop-up".
