The above message is displayed even though I am connected to the internet
(via dial up) - Like right Now!! What can I do to activate my Office
products?

This could be caused by your firewall which is blocking the Activation
Wizard or if your Internet connection uses a proxy server that
requires authentication.

You can always use the telephone method for activation or if the issue
is due to your firewall then change your firewall settings.

activate my Office products?

Restart Windows in Safe mode with Networking and try again. Worked for me.
