The cursor in a PPS

Vincent Pozon

Dear MVPs:

After opening a presentation or show, the cursor is not present unless the
person viewing moves his cursor.
If he does not move it and merely clicks, then he moves past the page I want
him to stay on.
This page is full of hyperlinks that organize his involvement with the
presentation.
How can make sure that he does not get past this page, does not get to see
the other pages unless through the hyperlinks?
Thanks.

Setup your slide show for Kiosks: "Slide Show" | "Set Up Show..." menu item,
select "Browsed on a kiosk". Shows configured for Kiosks have the mouse
always on and navigation is through hyperlinks only, keyboard navigation
keys are locked out, Escape key is active and that takes you out of the
slide show.

I did that, but I seem to have lost "show and return" function. Can't get
back to the main slide without pressing esc.
Oh, I am using PowerPoint 2002 on Windows XP.

My objective is to send a tutorial to business associates that controls what
they see and what they can modify.

Thanks again.

Or was it wrong to use custom shows as a means to organize the presentation?

Thanks again.

Wonderfully simple solution, thanks, TAJ.
I chose to not allow "advance on mouse click" on that important first slide,
which is exactly what I needed.
I notice that it also disallows "show and return", but I suppose it's just
something I should keep in mind.

Thanks again. :)

One option could be to disable the mouse click in
tools-slide transition. The presentation could be navigated
through hyperlinks.
