The cursor will not appear in the same line as the text.

I am running Office 2008 for Mac. I cannot place my cursor where I need it to be. When I go to place it, it is way out of line with the text. ANy suggestions would be appreciated.

What version of OS?

What View in Word are you using?

Laptop trackpad or mouse (and what type?)

Have you already tried quitting and relaunching Word (and/or logging out
of your user account and shutting down and rebooting the computer)

Version 10.4.11.

Print Layout.
Mouse (Wired with track ball)

No. But I did open a new document, cut and paste (special without formatting) the contents of the prior document into the new document, and the problem seems to have disappeared.
