The data file "Mailbox - [my user name]" was not closed properly

I receive this message nearly every time I open Outlook 2003 now. I have
tried creating a new profile to fix the issue, but this has not solved the
problem. I searched this database and found a single instance from another
user, which posted in October 2004. The response was essentially to not
worry about the issue. This problem usually locks up Outllook from opening
from 60 seconds to several minutes. Is there any solution to this problem?
Possibly through a patch or download or upgrade?
