The Dreaded NAV bar

I have read through all the posts I could, including "Navigation Bar properties will not publish." I folowed all the advice there (Thanks!). None of my file names have spaces, The server (Geocities) supports the extensions, and I recalced the links.

What I get is: When I "preview in Browser" everything looks great. When I publish to my desktop in a folder, then open index.htm the NAV bar is gone. I am hoping this is just a simple setting I need to change somewhere.

Certain features of the FP navigation components required that the site be viewed from a server that
has the FP2002 extensions, when you view the file from a disk-based location on your HD, you do not
have access to the FP run-time extensions only the design-time extensions.

I don't know exactly what your problem is, but there is always a workaround.
If your server does not have the right extensions, all of the special
effects available in FP can be achieved by other means. The FP special
effects just save you the trouble of finding out how to do it. The only
exception that I know of is the included page.

If you want to design your own navigation bars, take a look at
http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic/index.htm These navigation bars do
not require FP extensions, but you will need to know some CSS.

I don't know how much this helps, but it might get you started in the right
direction.
