The "Edit" function is missing from my MS Word Menu bar?

On the Menu Tool bar, the word "Edit" is missing from the menu bar. Is there
any way to get it back or do I need to re-install MS Word?

Note: This is not an icon issue.

Option 1 didn't work. I couldn't select just "edit"
Option 2 didn't work. The menu didn't re-set.
Option 3 DID work. The only problem I had was finding the "normal.dot"
file, but obviously I did find it.
