The 21st century most certainly doesn't comprise the sum totat of time,
even
in technological terms.

Remember the Beta video tapes ?

Why less spam and easier to find....... ?

Well for one thing Google indexes it with its web search, so now you won't
need to know about Google Groups to search archived threads.

What do they mean by a "clean space" ?

It's expected to be more moderated than MS newsgroups were.

Don't know about propaganda, but I posted THREE responses to the same post
with a website containing a solution to a question on whether it was
possible to install an Upgrade version of Windows 7 without a qualifying
version of Windows being present and ALL THREE were deleted arbitrarily by a
certain "MVP" "Moderator"....

Seems that "solution" would be implicitly promoting a violation of the
licensing agreement. I don't think that constitutes "arbitrary", does it?

People are going to be shocked at how much will be deleted in the forums.

So it may . That's a very grey area. Surely it was firstly up to the Op to
use his/her conscience, and secondly, but most importantly the "mvp
moderator" should have posted REASONS why it possibly violated the licensing
agreement - and not just arbitrarily delete posts.....

You need to get used to it. There will be more and more deletions and they
won't owe anyone an explanation. This is going to be a whole new ballgame.
There will be many posters who, over the years, have been vicious, posting
diatribe, senseless comments, cursing, condescension, patronizing...that is
going to be history.

And a good thing too. But deleting legitimate posts on the "whim" of a
"moderator"?

So the "My Computer is Broke" morons will win because the post will be
considered non-abrasive? This has clusterfu@k written all over it! The
MVP's and regular responders will all be in therapy after a few months of
that constant abuse and the M$ forums will turn into chat rooms for the
mentally disabled.

The "My Computer is Broke" morons will probably have difficulty in even
finding the forums. There will be some MVPs and regular responders who will
not migrate to the forums.

That's where you're wrong. They can't find Google, "any key" or the off/on
switch, but I'll be damned if they can't find M$ forums, Techarena,
Vistaheads or Egghead.

Remember the Beta video tapes ?

You mean the Betamax video tape format which was superior to VHS
in every way except total recording time ?

That was far from a technological disaster.

One hour total recording time was maximum.

You ain't seen nothing yet boy. Carey Frisch [Microsoft Valuable

you are not licking now but you have to do it more and better),
your posts would be deleted automatically.
