Error message:
Security Update for Excel 2002 (KB934453)
"the expected version of the product was not found on your system"

This problem persists with each update that I try to run. Office XP is
installed with service pack 3. The updates will work for a while on the
images I make. After the computer has been in use for a short while, the
patches fail to update and give the listed error message. Is there any info
as to where the update checks for the version number? Are there any
additional steps that anyone has tried with success, beyond that of the
Microsoft Knowedgebase articles? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
