The file could not be opened

Using Project Server 2007. I can save the project without any issues, but
when I re-open the project, I get the error 'the file could not be opened'.
Others can open the same project successfully. If I log on a different
machine, I can retrieve the project. If someone else saves a project, I get
the same error as well.

Gary:
Thanks for the quick reply... There were 4 folders (11, 12, 1033 and Cache)
that I deleted, but I'm still getting the same error when I attempt to open a
project.

Just a little more information... I had originally installed the Trial
version before I installed the full version. I don't know if this has any
bearing on the situation, but I thought I'd mention it. To try to resolve
this particular issue of receiving the 'the file could not be opened' error,
I completely uninstalled the trial and the full version, and then reinstalled
the full version. Unfortunately, it did not fix it. I did notice that the
previous configuration information was still in tact, so it did not
completely uninstall... Any ideas on what I can possibly do next?

Fixed! I have Norton Antivirus, and there is a option called 'Turn Office
Plug-in on' hidden under Miscellaneous. When I turned that off, it worked.
Just a word of caution. I disabled auto-protect as one of my first
approaches to resolving or identifying the cause of this issue, assuming that
this disables everything NAV does -- apparently it does not... You need to
specifically turn off that feature to disable it.
