The macros in this project are disabled...

Hello!

I'm looking for help on an Excel 2003 macro problem. While trying to
write/test macros the following error message came up: "The macros in
this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to enable
macros." I googled for a solution but the only thing I could find was
to change the security level. I did that and it still didn't work.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Colleen

Hi Colleen

choose tools / macros / security - ensure that it is set to medium
then close the workbook
now reopen the workbook - you should receive a message about enabling /
disabling macros
choose enable
and it should now work.

Cheers

Or if that doesn't help click help>about and disabled items, select enable

MS Word, "the macros in this project are disabled"

In MS Word 2003, 'the macros in this project are disabled' this is the solution that works:

Go to c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\Templates

delete all files in this folder (ONLY the files in the Templates folder)

You should have no more problems the next time you open Word.
