The Microsoft "Home User Program"?

I recently bought a laptop and need some software. I have heard it is
possible to get Microsoft Office at a much reduced cost if you work for
certain organisations, under the "Home User Program". Can anyone tell me how
I can apply for this - I can't find any links on the microsoft website.

Hi Jamie,

Check with your employer to see if they're participating in the MS Home Use Program under a MS Office Volume License program. You'd
get the software through them.

If you're a student, there are promotions for Office 2007 if you have email address from the school with a .edu ending, or check
with the campus bookstore.

In plain and simple English. The Company has to be a customer of Microsoft. Not every company is. If your Company where you are employed has purchased a Volume License version (Enterprise) of Office with the "Home User Program" option then you can ask them for this request to purchase an Enterprise version of Office under their "Home User Program".
