The number next to Outlook box says (6) but there are no items in.

I have a Outlook 2000 (all Updates installed) that shows 6 messages in the
Outbox but there are none.
I write a new message and the number increases by 1 and say (7). I
send/receive and it delivers the messages correctly and the counter goes back
to (6).
Same happens when I try 2 extra messages and then do send/receive.
I always end up with (6).
I also ran Detect/Repair already....

Any idea.
