The Pach Package could not be opened

Can not uninstall or reinstall Office 2000. When trying
both, get the error message : This patch package could not
be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that
you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.

I dont have the cd. I'm trying to install it off a server.

Any help would be appreciated.....
