The pic I put on a new web page looks like a color negative

I have a pic I drew with colored pencils. After hubby scanned for me I drew
additional things on picture using Corel Paint (this is program I use for all
pics). I resized, jpg'd it, etc exactly like I do all pictures (usually
photos) but when I put it on a new web page it looks very strange. The best
way I can describe it is it looks like a very bright color negative. And it
is not highlighted. This has happened before with photos I took but it has
been eons. I would retake photos with different settings. Sometimes that
worked and others not. But I can't do that with this picture since it is a
drawing. I'm using FrontPage 2000 (I know I'm behind.)

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Make sure you are saving the image as a JPG with a subformat of RGB.

It worked beautifully. Thanks again for your help. This has plagued me
before and getting around it was just dumb luck - never knew what I did to
fix it.
