The picture is too large and will be truncated

Hi All............
I developed a fairly large XL97 file with macros that has been used for two
months by 5 users. One user just got a new computer with WinXP and XL2k.
Every time she opens this file now, she gets the error message "The picture
is too large and will be truncated". The file is on a network and still
works fine for everyone else. And, this computer will open another large
Excel file with macros without giving the error message. Any ideas please?

Hi Chuck,

Something to try...
have the user change the screen resolution and/or update the printer driver
and see what happens.

Thanks Jim...........

You da MAN!!!!

I changed the resolution from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 and the problem went
away. The lady is not "real" happy with the resolution, but says she can
live with it.

Thanks again,

The reason for the error message, "The picture is too large and will be
truncated", is due to Microsoft's Clip Organizer. It tries to convert
anything that you copy into the clipboard into a picture format whether
you need it or not. I don't know how to avoid this, but if you're not
a fan of the Clip Organizer, you can remove it and then you won't get
the error messages anymore.

To remove the Clip Organizer, go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs
- Microsoft Office - Change - Add or Remove Features - Choose advanced
customization of applications - Next - Office Shared Features - Set
Clip Organizer to Not Available - Update.

Hope this helps everyone out there who is also annoyed by this problem!
