Hello.
When I open an Access database from a link on my local file server intranet
page it always asks "Do you want Open or Save" then another prompt pops up
"The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this
software?

Run or Don’t Run

Is there a way to configure my IIS server to prevent it from prompting me
with these pop up messages and just letting me access my files or is there a
setting in Access that can prevent these message from coming up?

Hi Iram,

I found this:

Run gpedit.msc

Go to User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >>
Attachment
Manager

Add "*.exe" to the "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types" setting.

"This policy setting allows you to configure the list of moderate risk file
types.
If the attachment is in the list of moderate risk file types and is from the
restricted
or Internet zone, Windows prompts the user before accessing the file. ..."

In other words, this allows you to run an .exe from the Intranet zone without
a prompt,
but it will warn before running one from the Internet.

For the part about do you want to SAVE or RUN - is the file an executable or
maybe a zip file that contains your mdb?
