The search key was not found in any record. (Error 3709)

I am receiving the above error message in 1 of my 4000 records (Access 2002).
I have reviewed the on-line help suggestions and I do not have any memo
fields and all my Office Updates are current. I am unable to delete this one
record. Are there any other suggestions that I can try? Also, certain
fields in this one record are not displaying the appropriate data, some
fields are unrecognizable characters?

Please, help us help you. You need to tell us what you're doing when this
error occurs, where it's occurring (in a form? in a query? in a table? in
VBA code? in a macro? etc.), and so on. We cannot see your database and have
no idea of the context for the error nor the data that you're using.
