Every time I try to publish one of my websites I get the error message. This
website has been published many, many times over the past few years. This
error message is something new. I publish multiple websites from the same PC
and only one of them is giving me this problem. The other websites publish
with no problems at all. I copied the files to a different computer and had
got the exact same error message when I tried to publish so the problem must
be with the files themselves.

I don't think so. This web site has 3,132 in 216 folders so I haven't looked
at all of the pages but I did look at the pages with the most content and
they were all under 150 KB. A different site that publishes from the same PC
using FrontPage 2003 has one file that is 7.25 MB and publishes without any
problem at all.

I noticed from reading through the topics that a lot of people have had this
problem. I didn't find any record of any "fixes" that working. I was able
to fix the problem at least for now and the following is what I did:

From the "Folders View" of my local web I clicked on all the folders and
found a few where the tree would not expand and the error message occured. I
converted these folds to webs and then converted them back to folders. After
doing this the web published without and problems.

Even though converting the folders to webs then back to folders solved the
publishing problem I had to do it repeated. Each time I wanted to publish I
would have to go through all the folders and find the ones that would not
expand when clicked on and do the conversion trick. I then began to realize
what these troublesome pages had something in common. They all had the same
exact table at the bottom of the page. The table was very large and
contained almost 500 links to external websites. When I removed the table
from these pages the problem ended.
