Hi,

Strange or am i doing something wrong, I get the following message when I
try to place a Microsoft Rich TextBox Control 6 [sp4] (Richtx32.ocx) on a
VBA userform:

"The subject is not trusted for the specified action"

This does not occur in VB6 or for other controls in VBA.

I am using:
Office 2003

I have installed:
Visual studio 6
Visual Studio .Net
Windows XP

Hi Marcel,

No such problem here with Word 2003 pre-RTM (Build 11.5505.5507) running on
Windows XP with Visual Studio 6, but not .Net..

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps

Hi Marcel,

New security restrictions were introduced for ActiveX controls in the last
publicly distributed (restricted) build of the Office 2003 beta. I have to
assume this is what you're running into. This indicates that the version of
the control you're trying to use hasn't been digitally signed.

You might check the msdn site whether any documentation on this has been
published, yet.

Hi,

I have the same problem. But I didn't fix it yet. The problem exists in the
final version of Office 2003 on machines with .NET framwork and without.

Perhaps it has something to do with the security option "ActiveX
initialization". For more details please refer to:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2003/seven/ch26/SecD01.htm

The option "ActiveX inistialization" can also be set via group policies.

Please reply to this NG if you have found a solution.
