The workspace you are trying to provision aleady exists...

I'm getting this error perhaps because when I deleted an Enterprise
Project earlier that I'm creating again (same name), I didn't check
the box that deletes the associated workspaces.

On the other hand I do not see any workspaces listed when I logon to
the Project Web Access Panel, using either logon I had been using.s

What's the easiest way for me to find those "orphaned" workspaces out
there and delete them?

Thanks,

I did the same thing. Assuming you're using WSS, go into Sharepoint (Site
Actions | Site Settings | Site Administration-Sites and workspaces) and
delete the workspace there.

Andy:

Navigate to the top-level site under which you are creating your Project
Workspaces, and select Site Settings from the Site Actions pick list menu at
the top right. It's relatively obvious from there. You can also navigate to
project workspace using the project name as the last part of the URL and
delete it from its own site settings page.

If you know the name of the workspace URL, you should go directly to it and
then under site settings, delete the site.

If you are asking where you can see all orphaned sites and be able to delete
them easily from one location, I am not aware of one. It might be
accessible via SharePoint Central Administration but I have not seen it
myself.

Well, here's the kicker. We are actually using MOSS in conjunction
with WSS and Project Server (and Portfolio Server).

There is a Central Administration Planel and a Shared Services
Administration Panel in addition to the Project Web Access Panel.

Does this make a difference as to how I should proceed? I'm not sure
really if this has been setup to create a site collection for each
project workspace or not.

Folks, I just found it. The site was still there (along with others)
underneath the default PWA path:

http://xxxx/pwa/default.aspx

sites were listed under this collection.
From a "best practices" standpoint, is this the right spot for these
workspaces?

Thanks,
