That's a start. Now you need to visit the newsgroup for the specific
program. Themes are done differently from one program to the next. And since
you want to make sure you understand the steps, you need to make sure that
you aren't asking in the "Office miscellaneous" newsgroup when what you want
is help with Publisher or FrontPage or PowerPoint or whatever.

How can you save your own themes?
It's with Outlook 2002. I want to use Themes instead of stationery to
compose messages with because you can change themes on the fly without
having to set a default stationery every time that you want to compose a
message.

How can you save your own themes?
There appears to be a lot of newsgroups about Outlook, but none of them do
with specifically themes. So, I went to microsoft.public.outlook.General to
find only 12 people on that newsgroup. (Keep in mind that a few of these
are advertisements.) Also of those 12 people, nobody had responses. (Some
of these date back as far as 10/7/05.) I'm using Microsoft Outlook
Newsreader for my NGs. I do not like using the Microsoft website, which I
used to use when I first started doing these newsgroups about two years ago.

Unfortunately, I can't answer your themes question, but I can see that
you're using Outlook Express as your newsreader. That's good. Believe me, I
understand why you don't like the web-based newsreader, although I do
understand why many users *do* like it.

Anyway, I can get you to the Microsoft newsgroup server. Just click this
link:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.misc

That sets up this specific office.misc newsgroup from the Microsoft server
instead of from your ISP's server.

For the Outlook newsgroup you were going for, try this:

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.outlook.general

I just subscribed to outlook.general, and Outlook Express tells me it has
16,647 posts! That's a looooong way from 12!
