There is a problem establishing a connection with the Web server running Windows SharePoint Services

This problem keeps creeping up.

If i go set this with ComPlus it will work for a while and then give me this
error again later (perhaps the next day).

The domain account i use does not have an expiring password. I could not
find anything when searching on this topic -- any help is appreciated.

Bryan:

We've seen this happen as a result of security policies disabling DCOM. The
nature of the problem suggests an issue external to the Project Server
application. Talk to your network security folks.

Hmmmm - I am "they".

We do not have any domain policies other than standard out of the box
policies.

Any idea where to dig in? On the local box or the domain controller?

I just found one setting - log on as batch job - has been set. I have added
my 2 accounts and my fingers are crossed.
