There is no catalog - message. Tried 183731

After following KB 183731 I still get:

There is no catalog.

The url listed is:

http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_script/disc1_srch.htm0.idq

I even tried deleting disc1_srch.htm0.iqd. It gave an error that that file
was missing. The index service is running and I can see in the snap-in that
pages are being indexed.

Do I need to start from scratch? How can I fix this?
