I am unable to track my sent items. There is no tracking tab on any of my
original sent messages.

Not sure what you're trying to track...and no, there is no tracking tab. Can
you provide more info, such as what you're trying to do, and your
version/mode/SP level of Outlook? (help | about....)

I sent something within my office to several people. I have received read
receipts, but would like to use the tracking to see who all read it. We get
automatic responses if they were read or not. When I choose the e-mail I
sent in my "Sent Items" folder it does not give me a "Tracking" tab.
According to what I have read in any version of Help, is that I should be
able to track original e-mails. I have Outlook2000 on my machine, but I don't
know what our IT Dept. has on the server.

I believe you have to open the responses for them to register on the original
Sent Item's Tracking tab.

I don't have a tracking tab on any sent item in OL2003 - I don't remember
ever seeing one in previous versions, but that may not mean much as I may
just never have looked for it. Can you
provide the exact text from the help item you found? I know you can open an
item in your inbox & search for related messages, and you can use advanced
find to find all related messages...

Why isn't the read receipt alone enough to tell you they opened the item?

I found the information in Outlook Help. Type in tracking then click on
"Track when messages are delivered or read" then on "review tracking
results". It tells you to go to the sent folder and choose the original
e-mail then click the tracking tab, which will normally show up right about
the message box.

The reason I need it is that I don't want to have to print 10 - 50 read
receipts for my boss who likes to see who read my memos and who didn't. I
have had it before, but it doesn't seem to work now.

Funnily enough, I never noticed that feature before (I don't tend to use
delivery/read receipt requests). I just tested in OL2003 and it seems to
work fine. Are you actually getting the read/delivery receipt? Does the
message icon thingy in your sent items list show the little "info"/circle
with the "i" in it next to your message?

One of my users is having the same problem. When he sends some e-mails he get
the tracking tab inside it when referring back to it in the sent items. This
does not happen all the time though. He receives delivery and read receipts
perfectly its just the tracking is not always there.
Do you have any suggestions?
