"There was an error opening enterprise resource pool"

When I use Project Pro to open a project in Project Server, I get a pop-up
dialog box with error message "There was an error opening enterprise resource
pool". I've never had this problem before until yesterday.

I've read previous posts in this discussion group concerning the same error,
but no definite solution was found. Any suggested solutions for this?
