There's A Delay When I Click on Hyperlinks

For some reason, there's a substantial delay (30 seconds) when I click on a
hyperlink in Outlook. There's a similar delay when I try to open an
attachment (Word, Excel).

This just recently started happening. Prior to now, I've had no such delay,
so I don't think it has to do with my hardware.

It's almost as if my system is looking for something. I am not on a network.

Any hints of things for me to try to resolve this?

If you are running Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office Plugin

Unfortunately, this didn't solve the problem.

I suspect that it's related to macros or something like that. The computer
is definitely waiting for something. Someone suggested that it may be
looking for a local URL (something like http://192.0.0.1, whatever that means
I don't know).
