Thesaurus short key not active

In Word 2000, I select a word and if I press Shift F7, nothing happens. The Thesaurus is active only if I select the word, then Tools -> Language -> Thesaurus. But I desperately need a shortcut for that. Thanks to anybody who can help !

-> Language -> Thesaurus. But I desperately need a shortcut for that.If you go to Tools/Customize/Keyboard, select the "Tools" category and
then click on ToolsThesaurus in the list on the right does any
keyboard assignment appear in the "Current keys" list? If not, click
in "Press new shortcut key" then press Shift+F7. Click "assign".
