I'd like to capture the name of the user creating a record. I got as far as
Application.CurrentUser, then hit the discussion on workgroup security. I'm
not worried about who sees/can edit what; I just want to have the current
user's name automatically entered in to a field. Any ideas?

If you are working with a system that doesn't use the mdw (? CurrentUser
<> "Admin") then you can use this proc. It isn't the Access login name
but the user's Window login name.
