Chris,
If I understand you right, you should be able to do that by typing a formula
like this:

="The answer to your question is " & A1 & " Dollars."
or you can use Concatenate:
=Concatenate("The answer to your question is ", A1, " Dollars.")

Hope this helps.

Hi.
genaricly the code syntax would be something like
"text" & range("A1") & " " & "more text" & " " & Range
("B1") & " " & "more text" & " " & ect.
but do you want code or a formula. where are you getting
the text.
for formula see =concatenate() in help.

And just in case:

="bla bla" & text(a1,"mm/dd/yyyy") & "bla bla" & text(a2,"$0.00")

If you need to apply some kind of number formatting.

Hi!

Apologetic would be OK.
Contrite would be acceptable.
Willing to learn how a community works would be great.
Grateful for help would be a bonus.
Positive feedback is always welcome.
Comments of a personal and tasteless nature are totally unacceptable.
You last post was, I hope, your last post unless you mend your manner
and ways. You might find that unacceptably authoritarian, but, believ
me, you shouldn't expect help from the folk on this ng if you won'
live by the rules of conduct and decency which are accepted by th
community.

I think you owe a few people...

Since I've never used OE, I'm not sure of the steps. In my newsreader,
plonking consists of a two-key keyboard shortcut that adds an author to
my kill file.

Hi Don,

Was curious about this. In two of the posts in this subject your posts are
dated for 26th August while in the rest it is for 17th august?

Im using OE6 (and I hope nobody tinkered with my computer settings)

Yell real loud (type in all caps) next time for a faster answer.
Seriously, it is considered poor netiquette and very rude to shout.
"ssssssssss " & a1 & "ssssssssssss"
