This Stupid new PowerPoint

M

Maurice

I just installed this F... (frustra...) XP power point, and now is
acting up like an (*&)(**)((,
Before
I used to have a nice place were I was able to choose when a title or
a picture will show on screen, even give the time that was going to
wait before even show up.
Now
This damn thing has none of those, and titles and pictures show up all
at the same time, and the timing is a pain on my As we speak.

Can someone tell me if there is any other way to tell the photos and
titles to show up at a certain time and not all @ the same time, I
hate this stupid thing I am probably going to throw away this one and
go back to my old PP 2000 this one was easier to use.

Maurice,

I can sympathize. I've switched from various v1.0 packages up through the
versions. It can be annoying when they move your menus, or changed the
quick-keys. That's the price of progress I guess.

I actually prefer the old "custom animation" menu, I found it quicker, as
certain options could be quickly entered by a few key presses.

I guess the new custom animation menu is perhaps the easiest they could have
made it without it being too confusing and OTT, like some other timeline
software I could mention.

These step by step guides should help

For getting to grips with the "slide animations" see
http://cel.colgate.edu/howto/powerpoint/pc/animate-transitions.htm

For using the "pre-set" (read easy) animation schemes see:
http://cel.colgate.edu/howto/powerpoint/pc/animate-text-simple.htm

For what is the "custom animation" replacement see:
http://cel.colgate.edu/howto/powerpoint/pc/animate-text-advanced.htm

Hope that helps.

Cheers
