Excel 2003 when trying to open a spreadsheet gives the following error:
This work had lost its vbaproject active x control.
Does anyone know how to correct this? When I go into Add/Remove Programs,
there is not a change or delete button when I highlight the office program.

Paula I too recently had this issue come up. Loaded Office Standard 2007
just over two weeks ago and it worked fine. Yesterday I get the same error
as you did after opening an excel 2003 file in excel 2007. I am getting that
message whether opening a blank sheet or, one with data. When I close all
the dialog boxes I can finally get to a usable excel sheet.

The errors are under the following,
office12\xlstart
\ABCMM.XLA’
\DESIGNER.XLA’
\FLOW95.XLA’
\PP.XLA’

I went through macro security settings, and the VBA enable settings. I
tried to reinstall office from my original disc using setup.exe but get this
message.

"setup cannot run because a required file is either corrupted or not
avaliable. Run setup again from the original source disc or download
location".

It just will not work.

Is there something I need to change or do I need to run a registry cleaner,
virus scan or go into safe mode and uninstall?

Thanks
