Threaded view...

not telling

The threaded view of news posts ddoesn't seem to be a tree like hierarchy.
I just get the original message and the replies to it sorted by time...
Outlooks news reader displays it as I expect... Ie. With more than one
level of nesting....
How can I do this in entourage?

TIA.

It cannot be done. I, however, agree that this would be an excellent
feature and should be implemented in a future release. I encourage you to
send your suggestion to Microsoft. In Entourage X, go to Help -> Send
Feedback on Entourage. Otherwise, click on this direct link to enter Mac
Product Feedback:

You can't. Entourage's newsreader functionality is considered 'basic'. If
you want more functionality on the newsgroups you have to use a separate
app. :(

This from a MVP???? What is the world comming to?

Yes, from an MVP!

We are not MS employees, we have our own opinions and are allowed to express
them. In fact, it has been stated at the highest levels within MS that the
MVPs are Microsoft's most appreciated critics! We are not afraid to
criticise MS products where they deserve it (and they often do!).

I'm sure that if all the MVPs became MS 'yes-men' the users would be the
first to complain.

And you can count me in for this one. This is from 2 MVPs. I use MacSoup
for newsgroups because I want the "advanced functionality" as Barry puts
it.
Anyway, as far as I rember Entourage was not supposed to be the ultimate
newsreader. It's main purpose remains e-mail AFAIK (and maybe the
organizer part).
