three for one??

In my add/remove I have listed

Microsoft works 2000
Microsoft word 2000
Mircosoft setup launcher

Now all I want is Word. That's all. Can I remove the other two or would
in cause problems. Any advice would be great. TIA.

Was Word installed with Works installation or separate setup disk? Try to
uninstall Works you can always reinstall if Word gets removed.

Yes, I think. The startup disk asked if I wanted full or customised
installation...I chose the customised and selected just Word. But it
still put the 'MS Works' listed in Add/Remove. Incidentally, how might
I then intall Word without it doing this??

Insert the Works CD and when it launches setup exit then explore the Works
CD In the MS Word folder find the Word Setup File click to launch and have
your Word Product Key ready to enter.
