Three install max installations

I installed Office 2007 on two home computers. One computer got a nasty
virus and I had to do full system recovery. I need to reinstall Office, but
I don't want to use up my last install.
What do I do?

A reinstall on the same computer does NOT "use up" an install. The license
allows X number of installs concurrently (at same time on different
computers,) not consecutively (installs on the same computer.) X is used
since we don't know exactly which version of Office you have and there are
three available licenses which allow from one to three concurrent installs.

Reinstall after clearing your virus and if the online activation fails (and
it shouldn't) use the telephone activation method which will display when
the online activation fails.

These are three simultaneous installs. The one that got a nasty virus will
be remembered on the activation server. When you go to activate it, it
won't even count against your three.

I have Student and Teacher Edition 2003 which I have installed on maybe six
computers over the years. You're not going to have a problem.

Sorry I wasn't more complete. Yes, I have Office Home and Student 2007. The
other two posts answered my question. I was under the assumption the program
could only be installed 3 times total. Wasn't aware that it meant
concurrently. Thanks so much for your responses. I wish Microsoft was
clearer about the install limitation.

They have been accused of using ambiguous language and easy-to-lose Product
Keys as a trick to sell more product. I have seen the yellow Product Key
stickers on the outside of the shrink wrap, where they are easily
discarded... Glad you got your question answered.
