I apologize if there is a previous thread that addresses this, but I'
trying to figure out how to copy a .tif file from a document/imag
management application and paste it into a Word document. I'm bein
told that some users that are on a previous version of Word (2000,
believe) are able to do this, but users of Office 2003 cannot.

The application allows the user to right-click the image and selec
Copy, but when you do, the Office Clipboard gives the error messag
"Item Not Collected: Format not supported by Office Clipboard". Is thi
an issue with all .tif images? Is there any way to copy these imag
files and paste them into Word or other Office suite applications?

thanks!

Is there some reason you can't just use Insert | Picture | From File? Note,
however, that Word can be picky about TIFF formats.

Unfortunately, the issue is that the image file is housed in the conten
management software application, so it's not sitting out on a director
where I could perform the insert. So from the software application i
which the file resides, there is no "Save As" function or any way t
extract the image file out and save it separately
