TIF Images in Access 2003 ?

B

Bruno Frisque

Hi group,

Access 2003 doesn't support anymore the Images .TIF.
Article KB 822 346 explains the Graph converters issue and provides a patch
for it.
This patch is ok (no longer the error message Access 2003 cannot support TIF
images..)
but still the images cannot be displayed/printed !?

Question is :
Does someone already succeeded to display / print Tif images under Access
2003 ?

If yes, any advises on how to .. will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Bruno I glanced at your thread with Pierre over in the French NG but it did
not translate very well to English. What was wrong to the solution on my
site that Pierre pointed you to?

Thanks for your reaction Stephen,

The GDIPlus.ddl is for Windows up to 2000. Not for Win XP. (as said on your
site)

Did you succeed to display/print TIF images under Access 2003 and with
Windows XP ??

Thanks again

Bruno I realize there is a language barrier here so I will try to restate
what is on my Web site.

1) If you had tested the sample LoadJpegGif MDB under WinXP you would have
found it works as advertised to display Tif files.

2) Windows XP(and higher) is based on the GDI+. You do not need to download
and install the GDI+ DLL because it is already on the hard drive of ANY and
ALL system running Windows XP.

3) The link on my site to download the GDI+ DLL was for Windows 98, NT and
Win2K systems ONLY!

Many thanks,

Yes LoadJpegGif.mdb works fine with Win XP ans Access2K.
But will it work with Access 2003 ?

I'll try it at customer site soon.

Thanks again to you

Many Thanks Stephen,

I'll be back here with Image, or Bound Objects or Unbound Objects.
(and how to "launch" the default Viewer application, by double clicking)
But yes, that's another story.

Again MANY thanks to you

With best regards
Bruno

Hoops,

Yes it works fine with Access 2003 (with Win XP) : Display on a form and
Print on a report (Images.tif)
Thanks again.
As I said I'll be back with other questions, on same subject.

Thanks again !
