time and date

is there any way to record the date and time in a record so that it
will not change? i.e. i want to record the date and time that an order
is placed. many thanks, michael

Hi Michael,

Out this field in your table design:

DateCreated, Date/Time, DefaultValue --> Now()

and then do not let the users do anything but view it :)

I also put this in my tables:

DateModified, Date/Time

and use the form BeforeUpdate event to change it.

I put DateCreated and DateModified in the form footer and Lock them
