As you have suspected, there is no simple default method for printing the
Actual Work someone has submitted for a specific time period across multiple
projects. The closest that you can come to this is to create a temporary
master project in Microsoft Project, consisting of all of the projects on
which you want to report, and then to apply the Who Does What When report
with Actual Work instead of Work. But I doubt seriously that will meet your
reporting needs.
Manually exporting the table to Excel sounds like an easier solution, and it
would be EVEN easier of you are using Project Server 2003, which has grid
exporting capabilities built into the system. Good luck!

Thanks for your response Dale!
The default tracking method for project progress is actual work Done and
work remaining. The time card functionality (entering time) works fine.
I need to be able to print a report for time entered by a resource for a
given time period across multiple projects. Is there a way to do this with
out queerying the Db?
At the moment, my work work around is to have them enter and submit their
hours for the time period (month). Let the hours sit unaccepted. Then at
the end of the time period I export the table to Excel and create my "time
card". Then I accept the hours.
