Time changed for all Events in Calendar

R

Ron

I am using Outlook 2003.
I needed to change my time zone from Indiana Eastern to Eastern (US &
Canada) because my time was incorrect on my PC after daylight Savings time.
Since than all of the events in my calendar are off by one hour.
Is there a way to change them back one hour without having to do each event
manually?

Try the Time Zone Data Update tool.

Is your PC not fully patched with updates from Microsoft? There are patches
available for daylight savings time.

Visit http://windowsupdate.com and instead of choosing Express, choose
Custom so you can choose non-critical updates as well.

I have all the win XP updates. I just installed the outlooktimezonemove.exe
but it still did not change the events time back in my calendar.
Did this need to be installed before daylight savings time?

No, when its installed doesn't matter. It should pick up the differences if
the computer was properly updated for the new time zone definitions. What
version of Windows? Is it fully up-to-date at Windows update?

I'm guessing your computer was not updated when the time zone definitions
changed for Indiana. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2006/20060330.htm

In any event, to fix them if the rebaser tool fails, change the computer so
the appointment times are correct, export to Excel then fix the time zones
and import.

Once exported to Excel, can you tell me how to automatically change the
start time to one hour earlier?

You don't do anything in Excel - change the time zone in Outlook and
import.

See http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2004/20041012.htm for the steps.
