We have discovered the joy and pain of the "Time entry by Timesheet only"
setting. With it, we can ensure that time entered into Timesheets matches
what is entered into a project as actuals (there is another setting,
"Restrict updates to Project Web Access", which makes sure even a PM cannot
change actuals).
Our problem, and I can't stress how important this is to our client, is
being able to allow a team member to report Remaining Work using My Tasks.
When you use the "Time entry by Timesheet only", PWA locks down every field
in My Tasks, not just the Progress field.
Anyone run into a similar issue? How did you resolve it - programmatically,
or through some other communication?
